Jeff Bezoz still retains the title of the world’s richest man in spite of losing $10 billion in one year. The founder of Amazon retained the top spot on the final day of the 2019 Bloomberg Billionaire Index with an estimated net worth of $113 billion.
Bezoz, Bill Gates and French business magnet Bernard Arnault are the only three billionaires in the world whose net worth exceeds $100 billion. Bezoz was expected to lose out on the top spot because of his divorce settlement with his wife. However as he held on to 75 percent of the Amazon stock, he still retained the top spot.
