Bollywood actress and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra, who is making India proud on international shores, has been named for the Padma Shri, the country’s fourth highest civilian award.
A National Award-winning actress, Priyanka has entertained movie buffs with her performances in films like”Andaaz”, “Aitraaz”, “Krrish”, “Fashion”, “Mary Kom”, “Barfi!” and “Bajirao Mastani”.
Globally, she won a People’s Choice Award for her international acting debut as FBI agent Alex Parish in American TV thriller series “Quantico” earlier this month. And she was the first South Asian actress to win the honour.
