Yuichiro Tokuda To Perform In Bangalore
Yuichiro Tokuda is a saxophonist, vocalist and composer. Having graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Yuichiro returned to Japan and formed his band Yuichiro Tokuda RALYZZDIG.
He released his first album which was acclaimed as “the cutting edge of the present progressive form of jazz” in Jazz Life magazine. His original compositions have fetched him many awards in his homeland, Japan. Yuichiro has traveled extensively, having performed in Malaysia, China, Korea, Canada, Jordan, Belgium, France and India He performs every year at Japan’s most prestigious Jazz Festival Yokohama Jazz Promenade and also performs at many festivals in all over the world.
Aman Mahajan is a pianist and composer, playing improvised music across a diversity of musical genres. Fortunate to have worked with musicians of a variety of cultural backgrounds, Mahajan is influenced by jazz, folk, classical and electronic music from around the world, and deeply inspired by a sense of unity and connection. Graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2007, Mahajan is based out of Bangalore, India, where he leads jazz/world ensemble REFUGE and teaches piano. He has recently returned to Bangalore from a faculty position at the Global Music Institute, New Delhi.
