What is known as the world’s largest survey of sexual harassment in the legal profession, it was found that one in three women suffered abuse from their seniors or their colleagues. The report  published by the London-based International Bar Association found that 75% of victims reported abuse and the survey showed that they didn’t speak up or even file a complaint because the perpetrator was someone  influential.

Reports show that many victims had started speaking up thanks to the Metoo movement that was spread globally in response to the charges filed against Hollywood moghul Harvey Weinstein. The international Bar Association found that men and women could not report the case as they most often felt frustrated with their employer’s response.  The report was based on a survey of 7000 respondents taken from 135 countries.
