FORMATION OF LARGEST HUMAN IMAGE OF AN EAR ON WORLD DISABILITY DAY – RAINDROPSS AND SATHYABAMA UNIVERSITY TO BE COVERETD IN THE PAGES OFBOOK OF WORLD RECORDS
RAINDROPSS, a renowned a youth based social organization from Chennai founded by Aravind Jayabal, is widely popular in delivering social awareness messages to the public through entertainment and media. Supporting education for less privileged children’s, women empowerment, feed the needy are the main areas where Raindropss being a beacon around. A.R.Raihanah (Oscar winning music composer, A.R.Rahman‘s sister) is the Goodwill Ambassador of Raindropss.
On 3rd December, to commemorate International Day of Persons with Disabilities, RAINDROPSS in association with Sathyabama University organized “வானமே எல்லை” – A World Record Attempt & A Theme Song Launch. The observance of the day aims to promote “Together a better world for all“, an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. The overall aim is to show non-disabled people that a person with a disability can be a vibrant member of society.
“SO THE WORLD MAY HEAR, GIVE YOUR VOICE“, is an initiative of Raindropss to support the children with the hearing impairment. The gift of hearing opens up a whole new world of opportunity. In India, 63 million people suffer from significant auditory loss. Nationwide disability survey have estimated hearing loss to be the second most common cause of disability.
To create a significant awareness among people, Raindropss and Sathyabama University joined hands to form the LARGEST HUMAN IMAGE OF AN EAR. 1215 participated and formed the LARGEST HUMAN IMAGE OF AN EAR. A Theme Song composed by A.R.Raihanah, penned by lyricist Madhan Karky and sung by Bhavatharani and Aravind, was released during the record attempt. The song conveys a strong social message, a person with a disability can be a vibrant member of society, by proving to themselves that there are many things they can still do. The Video song will be release shortly, says Aravind Jayabal, Founder and Managing Trustee of Raindropss.
The Record was officially announced by Vivek Raja, Adjudicator of Asia and India Book of Records and the certificates were awarded to Sathyabama University and Raindropss. The team has submitted the required documents to Guinness for the approval.
