The Hindu Worlds of Women 2019 awards that recognised women who have excelled in various fields was distributed at a function held yesterday. Sharada Menon founder of Schizophrenia Research Foundation ( SCARF) was given the Hindu Lifetime Achievement Award. Among other award winners were Hindu Business Leadership Award that went to Vanitha Mohan, Chairperson of Pricol. The Torchbearer Award which recognised excellence in education went to Vasudha Prakash the Founder Director of V- Excel Educational Trust .
The Hindu Heritage Award which recognised excellence in Art and Culture went to Sudha Raghunathan the carnatic vocalist. The flying colours award for sports persons went to Joshna Chinappa squash player. The Dazzler Award for excellence in entertainment went to actress Trisha. The inspiration award was presented to Preethi Srinivasan founder Soulfree who after a freak accident was paralyzed below the neck.
