A 45 year old woman from Choolaimedu choked to death while eating bajji. A piece of the bajji got stuck in her throat. Police sources said that she purchased the bajji from a nearby shop and shared it with her mother.
She was eating it while watching television with her mother. All of a sudden, a piece got stuck in her throat and she collapsed. Her mother alerted the neighbors and called 108 ambulance and rushed her to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital where she was declared brought dead. The Choolaimedu police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 174 of the IPC and her body was sent for post mortem. Her body was handed over to her family after the post mortem. The deceased has been identified as G.Padmavathi wife of Gangadharan.
