Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went on trial for allegedly using state funds to pay for hundreds of meals. The trial has been adjourned until 13th of November and is expected to go on for months together.
She was charged with fraud and breach of trust in June. She has misused state funds to pay for catered meals costing $100,000 from 2010 to 2013 by falsely declaring that there were no cooks available at the Prime Minister’s residence. The Prime Minister himself faces charges of corruption and it is speculated that he will be forced to step down.
