The Chief of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus called for countries to invest in public health and said that when the next pandemic strikes, the world should be better prepared. According to a tally by the Reuters, a total of 27.19 million people were reported to have been infected with the coronavirus across the globe and 888.326 people are said to have lost their lives.
Tedros held a news briefing in Geneva and said that”this is not the last pandemic and pandemics are a part of life but when the next one strikes, the world should be better prepared to face it and be more ready than this one.”Juliana
