Bringing smiles to Chennai!
Over the last 8 years, We Little have been synonymous with painless pediatric dentistry and infusing smiles in kids and their parents’ lives. Going to the dentist can be a harrowing experience for both kids and their parents, The sterile and clinical environment causes undue fear in kids and makes them suffer unnecessarily. To change this scary scenario, the Clinic has a play area, attic, and an atrium for kids to feel relaxed and comfortable. The spacious and inviting 4000 Square feet Pediatric Dentistry Clinic has interiors resembling a submarine and lavishly decorated with aquatic life making it fun and adventurous for kids. A big attraction is their cute and adorable mascot Panda named ‘Wee Wee’. Wee wee connects with kids on their level and is their smile companion, snooze partner, and dental health partner. The much-loved panda represents the brand values of We Little such as Smile, Sleep, and Health. The friendly doctors and ever-smiling support staff builds confidence and helps kids to address their dental issues positively.
Normally, Dental impressions aren’t a very pleasant experience. Understanding this We Little Chennai becomes the first pediatric dental clinic in the country to be equipped with state-of-the-art 3D Scanning Technology – iTero (USA) making the process as easy as just clicking a picture.
In an effort to spread awareness on the importance of sleep & its role in wellness and health, We Little launched an innovative concept “sleep passport” on World Sleep Awareness day (21 March 2021). Sleep-disordered breathing is a silent epidemic our children are facing and if found early can help us avoid invasive treatments for the child in the future.
They practice painless dentistry by offering dentistry to solve issues such as cavities, broken or loose teeth, and other problems that affect a child’s oral health. The associated pain and discomfort during the oral procedure will be managed by the trained dentists. They have developed special protocols like Myofunctional Therapy which involves Breath retraining to fix crooked teeth which were earlier thought of as a genetic issue.
For the last few years, Dr. Shifa Shamsudeen has been advocating dental best practices for kids and blogging about the link between oral health, sleep problems, and brain development. She has developed many Medical Protocols related to Dental Care and the Chief Proponent of Preventive Pediatric Dentistry. According to her, “Many dental problems are manifested as Myofunctional disorders like teeth misalignment, tongue thrust, facial grimace, and speech-related issues. They can be fixed with proper dental hygiene, oral restrictions, myofunctional habits & dietary modifications”.
The facility was inaugurated grandly by actress Vijayalakshmi. On the occasion, she shared her personal experiences. She said that painless dental procedures and good oral hygiene are the keystones of avoiding pediatric dental issues and good teeth in the future.
