Former captain Virat Kohli has achieved a new milestone in his career. He is playing his 100th Test match today against Sri Lanka in Mohali.
He was felicitated by the BCCI and he received a special cap from India coach Rahul Dravid. Virat’s wife Anushka was by his side to cheer for him for achieving this milestone.
It was a special moment for Kohli to receive the 100th Test cap from Rahul Dravid who was his childhood hero. What made the moment even more special was the presence of his wife Anushka and his brother. Virat is proud of the fact that he completed 100 games in the purest format of cricket.
Virat made his debut against the West Indies in 2011 and scored just 4 runs and 15 runs at Sabina Park. He has come a long way from there and has amassed 7962 runs with an average of 50.39 runs in his 11 year journey in cricket. He will join the illustrious list of Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, Kapil Dev, Tendulkar, Kumble, Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh and Isanth Sharma who played 100 tests.
