Actor Vijay has filed a civil suit against 11 persons including his father SA Chandrasekar and mother Shoba Chandrasekar seeking a ban on the meetings using his name or the name of his fan clubs in politics.
It has been reported that his father had registered a political party in actor Vijay’s name in 2020. His father had registered Vijay’s fan club Vijay Makkal Iyakkam as a political party called All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam with the Election Commission of India. This gave the impression that actor Vijay was planning to enter into politics. Now Vijay has cleared the air and declared that he has nothing to do with All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam that was established by his father. He also asked his fans not to join the said party.
He issued an official statement saying that if anyone tried to misuse his name, photo or his fan clubs for their political aspirations, he would take necessary action against them.
