Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers added more jewels to their crown by emerging as winners of the National Jewellery Awards which is an initiative by All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council in four categories. The National Jewellery Awards have several categories out of which VBJ has bagged the title under the following categories.
- Student Of The Year
- Designer CAD
- Artisan/ Craftsman
- Bride Pride- Diamond Bridal Jewellery Of The Year
Previously, Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers won the categories ‘Student of the year’ and ‘Artisan/ Craftsman’. This year among 800 entries, Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers emerged as the winners. A student intern emerged as the winner of the ‘Student of the year category. Mithun Kalipada Jana from Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers has been selected as the winner of the category ‘Designer- CAD’ for his ring inspired by ‘Bharatanatyam’, the classical dance form of Tamilnadu. Swarup Paul from Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers has bagged the ‘Artisan/ Craftsman’ award by using advanced technology and making a rotating piece of jewellery within four hours. Lastly, the prestigious award ‘Bride Pride- Diamond Jewellery of the year’ was also bagged by Vummidi Bangaru Jewellers for their Annapakshi Diamond bridal gear consisting of chokers, semi-chokers, jhumka and maatal, armband, bangles, ring, and oddiyanam.
Every year the National Jewellery Awards is conducted by the All India Gem and Jewellery Domestic Council where the participants can participate in various segments such as Jewellery, Designer, Artisan, and more. The participants are subjected to various levels of screening and intense scrutiny by the jury members and winners are selected. This year, the 10th edition of the National Jewellery Awards was held on October 20th at Goa.
