Queen Elizabeth II will complete 70 years on the throne and there will be nationwide events to commemorate her Platinum Jubilee. A thanksgiving service and a music concert will be held outside the Buckingham Palace from June 2 to 5.
The Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson and politicians will deliver their tributes to the Queen today, four days ahead of the grand celebrations.
Elizabeth became Queen after the death of her father King George VI on February 6, 1952, while she was in Kenya on an international tour. She led her country through good and bad times and dedicated her life to the people.
The four days of celebrations will begin next Thursday with the traditional ”Trooping the Colour” military parade in Central London. It will be followed by a service at London’s St.Paul’s Cathedral, a concert and a pageant through the British capital.
