Director Basil Joseph pens a heartfelt note as Minnal Murali gears up for release
Its been three years since the story of Minnal Murali began to unfold. Director Basil Joseph took to his social media handle to thank his team and share the news that the Tovino starrer will be hitting screens soon. He wrote, “Having spend this much time for a movie, I have to say that Minnal Murali is not just a movie, it’s an inevitable part of our life. Every instance we had in this movie was eventful and equally stressful, the uncertainty looming around Covid pandemic made it even harder, but even amidst that, the entire team put in their best to work towards the goal of making a good movie, which resonated the spirit to move ahead and enjoy the process.”
He thanked the producer Sophia Paul who trusted him and also Tovino Thomas who dons the role of the superhero. Basil wrote, “The most essential part in a superhero movie is the hero himself, the criteria being the charm, charisma and physique of a superhuman and there was nobody else that fit perfectly into the profile other than you @tovinothomas . Apart from an actor-director relationship this worked because you have been a brother and friend to me. I owe you big time dear friend.” He made it a point to thank each of his crew members, Action director Vladislav Rimburg, Shan Rahmaan and Sushin Shyam for music , Art Director Manu Jagadh, Cinematographer Samir Thahir and so on. He also thanked Kunchacko Boban who paid a surprise visit to the sets of Minnal Murali. The film will be streaming on Netflix soon.
