Veteran actor Rallapalli Venkata Narasimha Rao, a renowned artist in Telugu, breathed his last on May 17 due to cardiac arrest. He was reportedly suffering from lung-related issues for the past couple of months and was getting treated at a private hospital in Hyderabad.
His death has left Telugu film industry extremely sad and they’re taking to social media to express their grief. The actor is popularly known for his portrayal of a trans woman in Mani Ratnam’s Bombay, which took the nation by storm. In the film, he essays a trans person and safeguards one of the twins in her house during the riots.
He was one of the most sought-after actors in Tollywood and has managed to win the prestigious Nandi awards five times. His famous works include Sitara, Chali Cheemalu, Oorimadi Bratkulu, Toorpu Velle Railu, Khaidi and Alaya Sikharam among others.
