Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi took back an order where he announced the dismissal of Minister V Senthil Balaji from the  Tamil Nadu Council of Ministers without even consulting Chief Minister MK Stalin.

Minister Senthil Balaji was arrested a couple of weeks ago in an alleged cash-for-jobs scandal  and money laundering by the Enforcement Directorate and was retained by Chief Minister Stalin as a minister without portfolio.
After the Governor dismissed Senthil Balaji from the Council of Ministers, the Tamil Nadu government planned to disregard the order and challenge the same in the Supreme Court.
Meanwhile the Governor has taken back an order passed by him dismissing Senthil Balaji whose judicial custody has been extended by the court till July 12.
The relationship between the DMK government and the Governor’s office has not been smooth for some months.
