Famous golfer Tiger Woods posted a picture of himself on crutches on Instagram. He is slowly recovering from the car accident he was involved in two months ago when his car careened off a road near Los Angeles and crashed. The photo on Instagram shows him smiling on a golf course with a black and white dog which he called his best friend and his faithful rehab partner.
Woods sustained compound fractures of his tibia and fibula in his right leg in the early morning car crash and had to go in for emergency surgery. He also suffered injuries on his foot and ankle. According to authorities, it was his excessive speed that caused the accident but he was not charged for any crime in the one-car wreck.
These injuries have raised concerns about the 45 year old golfer’s return to competitive golf as he already has a long history of knee and back problems. His orthopedic surgeons said that the road to recovery will not be easy but it is possible for Tiger to return to golf in about a year.
Tiger has won 15 major championships so far and he requires 3 more to match the record held by Jack Nicklaus.
