Margazhi and Music go hand in hand. The music festival is something very special and pride to all Chennaiites, especially after UNESCO recognized our December music festival. Margazhi is all about good music with good food. Palam Silks founder Ms. Jeyasree Ravi has also been an ardent devotee of our native art and culture and began with a point-to-point travel bus that created the sabha hopping culture.

About 3 years ago, they launched an exclusive collection called Concert Collection that bore musicians with their instruments in gold zari. It is impossible to escape a kanjeevaram attire when you attend a traditional event. This was created so that music lovers can sport this look when they attend a concert. The thought was adapted from kids wearing their favorite pop star’s T-shirts when they attend their show.

This year, Palam silks bring loyalists under one roof to celebrate classical kutcheri. To create an ambiance that carried the same whiff of a sabha with a stage and jamakalam, well-dressed musicians and audience in their kanjeevarams. Surrounded by an array of colorful silk sarees, Supersinger fame Shravan performed classical music, surrounded by hundreds of music lovers, his soulful voice rang even hours after the event.

Thoughtloom is an initiative of Palam Silks to promote young and upcoming artists by giving them a platform and a wonderful set of audiences who appreciate raw talent. There are hidden talents at every nook and corner of our state and thoughtloom is a platform where they throw the spotlight on them.
