Nominations for the Grammy awards did not go down well with The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj. In fact The Weeknd lashed out at the Grammy’s saying it was corrupt. He did not even receive a single nomination despite six songs from his album making it to the Billboard Global 200 list. Rapper Nicki Minaj too was not happy. Justin Bieber got 4 nominations for his album ‘Changes’ and is grateful for it. However the album was listed in the Pop category when it is an out and out R&B album.
All songs and albums released between September 1st 2019 and August 31st 2020 were eligible for nominations this year. The winners will be announced in a grand live show to be held on January 31st, 2020.
