Ambience: The Pizza Bakery has got our vote for one of the most stylish new eateries for a pizza and beer experience. Grab one of the high chairs on the terrace with Mona Lisa smiling at you with a beer mug in hand from the wall on your left or find a spot to relax and stretch a floor below where the welcoming white and wooden interiors beckon you to unwind.
Men behind the making: Started by the enterprising, young brothers Abhijit and Nikhil Gupta, The Pizza Bakery promises to usher in a new dimension of Pizzeria. The dynamic brother duo is striving to make it a nationally recognised gourmet pizza chain.
What’s hot: The Pizza Bakery recreates Naples in Bengaluru with their authentic Neapolitan-style Sourdough Pizzas. Their twin wood fired ovens are set in the warm and cozy ambience of the multilevel Pizzeria. The food can be enjoyed along with Belgian & German craft beers within the stunning black and white interiors or even on the balcony. All beer here is served on tap and we must say that Sourdough pizza along with beer makes for a very desirable combination. We start with the stuffed garlic bread made from sourdough and has the goodness of caramel onions and mozzarella cheese topped with garlic, quite unlike the garlic breads you would find at other places. There’s a wide variety of authentic Neapolitan Sourdough Pizzas with a choice of pork, lamb, chicken and seafood toppings like Parma Bianco and the Italian Pepperoni, as well a variety of vegetarian options including the classic Margherita. They serve the original Neapolitan Sourdough pizzas and use custom milled flour, free from additives and preservatives and baked fresh creating a light, airy pizza texture that leaves you craving for more. You can further opt for pizzas to be served with cheese, flambé or sunny side egg. There’s also a good selection of appetisers including the delicious Butter garlic chilly Prawns and the Baked Nachos. Also try the stuffed pastas – Ravioli and Tortellini. Their delectable Nutella Sourdough dessert pizza is something to look forward to. Chef Abhjit Saha, the consulting chef also brings in his signature Molten Chocolate mud cake served with a dollop of fresh vanilla ice cream. We tried the classic Tiramisu which was delectable.
