Rakhil shot himself after shooting Manasa and making sure of her death
On Friday afternoon, Rakhil Raghuthaman, an interior designer by profession barged into Manasa’s rented house in Kothamangalam, where the 24 year old Dental student was staying with her friends. He had been stalking her for days and is alleged to have procured a pistol from Bihar to shoot her. Rakhil and Manasa Madhavan had met through Instagram and had become friends earlier but two months ago, Manasa had decided to end the relationship with Rakhil. Even after the break up, when she realised that she was being stalked, Manasa along with her father had approached the police who had warned Rakhil, who in turn agreed to stay away.
But a month later, Rakhil entered Manasa’s house where she was having a meal with her friends. He dragged her to the neighbouring room where he shot her twice and then shot himself. Both the victim and the assailant hail from Kannur. Their mortal remains were laid rest on Sunday. It has been reported that Vineesh, 33, a native of Changaramkulam, Kerala killed himself on Monday allegedly pained by the death of Manasa. Police have recovered his suicide note that read that no one is responsible for his death and that he was pained by the news of Manasa’s death which drove him to take the extreme step.
