After the success of Viswasam, Ajith is busy shooting for his upcoming film, which is the official Tamil remake of Hindi blockbuster flick Pink. Produced by Boney Kapoor, the remake is directed by H Vinoth of Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru fame. Even before Ajith could complete Tamil remake of Pink, talks about his next film are on. Earlier, it was revealed that Vinoth himself would direct Ajith again and that it would be a fresh script.
However, it looks like director Venkat Prabhu is said to be in talks to direct a film starring Ajith. At a recent media interaction, the Biriyani director said, I don’t know if Mankatha 2 will happen or not. However, a movie with Thala is definitely on the cards and it will happen very soon. Sources close to the team shared that this film will be produced by Boney Kapoor’s production house.
However, there has been no official confirmation on the same. Venkat Prabhu and Ajith had earlier teamed up for Mankatha, which turned out to be a blockbuster. The film had an open ending leaving room for a sequel. So, fans are hoping that the duo would come up with a sequel to Mankatha. Ajith’s film with H Vinoth was supposed to hit the theatres on May 1. However, it looks like the film is getting postponed to August. Meanwhile, Venkat Prabhu has to wrap up Maanadu, which stars Simbu and Arjun Sarja in the lead roles.
