Team at CURI Hospital celebrate successful completion of more than 600 robotic surgeries

Chennai Urology and Robotics Institute-CURI Hospital was founded in December 2018. At the helm is Dr. P.B. Sivaraman, Chairman, who is a notable Urologist. CURI Hospital has completed a milestone of completing more than 600 robotic surgeries. To celebrate this milestone, there was a 3 day celebration held at the hospital situated in OMR from June 2nd to June 4th.

On June 2nd, all the staff and biomedical students from local colleges were invited to attend a program where Dr. Ananthakrishnan and his team of Robotic Surgeons introduced the topic of Robotic Surgery and its advantages. On June 3rd, a CME was conducted with the Madras Urological Society and the visiting doctors and post graduates were informed about the basics and advanced techniques of Robotic Surgery followed by a hands-on training session.
On June 4th, a mega event was organised in association with the Indian Prostate Cancer Foundation and former patients, friends and well wishers were invited to celebrate this milestone. Akhila Srinivasan was the Chief Guest for the event. Chairman Dr. P.B. Sivaraman welcomed the gathering, Dr. Ananthakrishnan, Director and head of Robotic Surgery spoke about CURI Hospital’s journey in achieving this milestone and Managing Director Gayatri Ananthakrishnan proposed the vote of thanks.
