Tarun Tahiliani’s Spring Summer 2016 collection debuts re-interpreted avant-garde draping in a flurry of specially conceptualized and developed crinkled fabrics and chevron patterns in multi-hues and styles that go from starkly modern dresses, shirts, dhoti pants and concept saris to the froth and flounce of lehengas exuding contemporary fashionableness against a backdrop of traditional silhouettes.
A burst of colour ranging from ombres of blues, reds, pinks, yellows shifting to pastels, whites and ivories and exploring hues in a monochromatic spectrum that celebrate the onset of Spring. The collection is an amalgamation of myriad fabrics, new techniques and embellishments; handlooms merging with digital prints, garments in light crinkled fabrics with embellished necklines and georgette kurtas with attached drapes.
