As cases surge, Tamil Nadu declares two week lockdown
After Kerala and Karnataka, now Tamil Nadu has announced that it will go into lockdown from May 10th to 24th. Chennai alone reported more than 6700 cases on a single day. Chief Minister, M K Stalin who recently took oath said, “Due to unavoidable reasons, we have to enforce lockdown.” The state witnessed the biggest single day hike on Friday with 26,465 cases . It will be a complete lockdown and only hospitals, essentials services will be allowed to open. Banks will remain open with limited staff and restaurants will be allowed to provide parcels or take aways.
