The Tamilnadu government has issued a set of guidelines for schools as they are set to reopen from the first of October for classes 10-12. Students will be permitted on a voluntary basis to get guidance from the teachers and they will have to carry a consent letter signed by ether their parents or guardians. Those from the containment zones however will not be permitted.
The existing online classes will continue. Thermal screeners will take the temperature of the staff and students as they enter the school premises. Students will be permitted in two batches. The first batch will be allowed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the second batch will be permitted on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The entire school premises including doors, windows, furniture and handrails should be properly disinfected every morning. Students are supposed to follow social distancing of at least 6 feet and compulsorily wear masks or face covers.
