Taapsee is doing some very interesting films in Bollywood lately. The recent one is Badla with Amitabh Bachchan. The film which has released recently has been declared a solid hit at the box office. The latest we hear is that the film has crossed the 60 crore mark at the box office, Interestingly the film also earned 37.79 crores in week one. This is big money as the film is a female-oriented subject and is a serious revenge drama.
The film revolves around a murder mystery, where Taapsee’s character becomes the primary suspect after she is found with her boyfriend’s dead body and money in a locked room. Amitabh plays a successful lawyer, who has to defend and save her by solving the mystery. This is the seond collaboration of Amitabh and Taapsee after the 2015 blockbuster Pink. Taapsee’s role, in particular, has received superb applause from the critics and general audience.
The murder mystery has been widely shot in parts of Scotland. It also stars Manav Kaul and Amrita Singh in pivotal roles. The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment along with Azure Entertainment.
