An award has been instituted for women professionals living across Tamilnadu who have returned to their careers after taking prolonged breaks in their professional life. This is organised by Avatar group in association with British Deputy High Commission.
The award will be given on international Women’s Day. Most Indian women take a break in their careers at least once and then return for the second innings. In order to encourage women and to recognise their service to society, Dr. Soundarya Rajesh the Founder president of this group says that this award is to inspire them to return to their careers. Nominations are being collected right now
