Congress President Sonia Gandhi will be questioned by the Enforcement Directorate today over the National Herald case. This is the first time that any federal probe agency will be questioning Sonia.
Earlier, the ED had questioned Rahul Gandhi for over 50 hours over a span of five days at the ED’s headquarters in Delhi. Congress party workers have planned a nationwide protest against the ED’s questioning of Sonia Gandhi. They feel that the government is misusing central agencies to target opposition leaders. The state units will hold protests in their respective areas.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that ”Congress will stand united with Sonia Gandhi.” Party workers will gather at the Congress headquarters in Akbar Road from where Sonia will leave for the ED office.
