Congress chief Sonia Gandhi has sought more time from the Enforcement Directorate for her appearance for questioning in the alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald newspaper. She was hospitalized as she tested positive for Covid and had some respiratory issues. She was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on June 12.
Originally, she was supposed to appear before the Enforcement Directorate on June 8 . She was in hospital for more than a week and was discharged just two days ago. The ED agreed to her request and granted time till June 23.
Meanwhile, her son Rahul Gandhi was questioned by the ED over the past two weeks.
Congress workers had staged protests outside the ED offices due to the ”vendetta politics” of the BJP.
