Congress leader Rahul Gandhi visited the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi where his mother Sonia Gandhi has been admitted for Covid-related issues. He will stay at the hospital to take care of his mother.
Rahul was questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for three consecutive days this week and this sparked protests by Congress leaders across the country. Rahul requested the ED to defer the questioning from June 17 to 20 due to the health condition of his mother. The ED granted the request and issued fresh summons to Rahul to join the investigation in the National Herald case on Monday. He is being questioned under criminal sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the hospital on Sunday after she contracted a Covid-19 infection. Sonia’s daughter Priyanka has been staying with her mother at the hospital as her attendant.
