Former President of the Congress Party Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi on January 4 for treatment of a viral respiratory infection and was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday. She has been advised to take rest at home, said Congress communication chief Jairam Ramesh
According to Dr. Ajay Swaroop, Chairman of the Hospital, Sonia Gandhi was discharged after her condition was stable on the 10th of January at 3 p.m.
Sonia joined the Bharat Jodo Yatra on December 24th. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi along with her husband Robert Vadra also joined the yatra when it entered the national capital.
