The latest to join the bandwagon of women posting their pictures in saree on Twitter is Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. She posted her wedding picture where she was clad in a pink and gold benarasi saree.
Following this she was flooded with anniversary wishes. This prompted her to announce that her anniversary was in the month of February and that the picture was just a throwback for the # Saree Twitter. Other women politicians did not lag behind. They too posted their pictures promptly. They include Congress Party’s Nagma, Shiv Sena’ s Priyanka Chaturvedi and BJP’S Nupur Sharma. Not to be left behind, Congress Rajya Sabha MP, Rajeev Gowda posted a picture of himself dressed in a saree where he played the role of Indira Gandhi in a school play.
