The DMK and it’s allies including the Congress are conducting a signature campaign seeking the repeal of the Citizenship Amendment Act. DMK President Stalin himself went out on the roads to mobilize signatures from all sections of the society. His target is to collect one crore signatures from all over Tamil Nadu against the CAA and NRC.
He launched the campaign in his Kolathur constituency on February 2nd. It will be on till the 8th of February. He appealed to his party cadres to go door to door and distribute hand bills to the people explaining why the CAA and NRC should be scrapped. All the signatures that are collected would be submitted to the DMK headquarters in Chennai from where it would be put together and handed over to the President of India.
