The bond we share with our sibling is like no other – they are our best friends and worst enemies, and also our biggest partners in crime. At times, siblings provide us with our biggest competition, strongest encouragement and remind us of our most embarrassing moments – life without them is boring, uneventful and no fun.
In order to honour this relationship of immense love and hate, Sibling Day is celebrated on April 10 every year. Keeping this celebration going, we went around peeking into some homes, to understand the relationship between these brothers and sisters better. Read ahead to know more about them…

Shweta and Niharika Keerthi
Shwetha:
What habits does Niharika have that you would change if you could?
Punctuality! (laughs) I always end up getting ready and waiting for her for a long, long time!
How has your relationship changed over the years?
My younger sister, even though is three years younger, has always acted like my older sister. She’s always the one looking after me and trying to be more “mature” and I would always throw around the older sister tag. Now we’re most of each other’s best friends, confidantes and hang out together a lot more, too.
One thing you can do that she can’t?
Talk nonstop!’

Niharika:
What habit of Shweta’s would you change if you could?
Her temper! Most people don’t know that she is actually quite short tempered!
How has your relationship changed over the years?
We were very close growing up have definitely become closer now than we ever were. I think it has a lot to do with our common circle of friends and our interests.
Did you ever have a crush on any of her friends?
Nope, she never had such great looking friends.
