The 89 year old passed away due to Covid 19
Chandro Tomar was 60 plus when she started shooting and she went on to win many National championships and competitions. She was admitted in a hospital in Meerut when she complained of difficulty in breathing. She was diagnosed with Covid 19 and she passed away this afternoon.
She was one of the oldest sharp shooters in the country and a film was made based on her inspiring life. Many celebrities took to social media to mourn her loss. Taapsee Pannu wrote, “But I learnt from you to never give up…Daadi will live on forever in the hearts of many who she was an inspiration to.”
