Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan and seven others were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau after a raid was conducted at a party on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai.
The NCB team boarded the Goa-bound ship disguised as passengers and began the raid at 10 a.m and it went on till 2 p.m. The suspects were searched and different drugs were recovered from them.
Aryan was produced in court on Sunday evening and the NCB was granted custody of those arrested till today. They will be produced before a court in Mumbai today.
The raid on Sunday yielded 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD. The charges brought against Aryan and 7 others are the purchase, possession and use of banned substances.
Aryan’s lawyer demanded bail on the ground that Aryan had been arrested on the basis of chat messages and that he did not have a ticket, cabin or seat on board the cruise. He did not even have a boarding pass.
