Filmmaker Selvaraghvan is back after a 6-year hiatus with Suriya-starrer NGK. The film, featuring Suriya, Sai Pallavi, and Rakul Preet, hit the theatres on May 31 worldwide and went on to receive mixed reactions from critics and audience. The opening day collection of NGK stands at Rs 1.03 crore in Chennai alone.
It has been over 24 hours since NGK released and Selvaraghvan’s ardent fans have started decoding the film, finding hidden meanings in each and every scene. Most of Selvaraghavan’s films are always ahead of time and many staunch followers believe that NGK is one too.At this juncture, Selvaraghavan took to Twitter to thank his fans for their support.
He wrote, “Thanks for the overwhelming support & love for #NGK Grateful. Love has shown is truly remarkable. And as some you guessed, the character of #NGK has a lot of hidden layers & secrets. It’s easy to find when you watch the film closely. Many critics unanimously agreed that NGK’s screenplay is incoherent and didn’t quite resemble Selvaraghavan’s brand of cinema, which is unapologetic and eccentric.
