Travel today has become one of the choicest passions for the modern generation. Our daily lives have become so chaotic that everyone takes short breaks to keep their sanity intact.
Over the years people have spoken about how much one can learn by travelling and seeing other cultures alone, and these days parents have started to use that as an opportunity to bond with their kids and even fill their own basket of travelogues. The hectic city lives of working professionals and schedules of entire families, make the summer holidays of schools the most opportune time to spend time with one another and take that long desired holiday. Here’s a list of people who have recently come back from some fun getaways and share their experience. Here are their stories…

Pranav Pingle Reddy, Founder, Mirage Media
Destination: Vietnam
Duration: Two weeks
With: Friends – Natalia Pillai, Ananth and Aahana.
Purpose: We actually decided to go for the trip 15 days before our friend’s wedding in Bangkok which was during the same month.
Places covered: The Ho Chi Minh City, Mekong Delta (Ben Tre) and Phu Quoc Islands
“Vietnam should be on the top of everyone’s travel list. It’s that simple. With its dramatic landscapes, fascinating history, epic food and pulsating energy, Vietnam electrifies all of your senses.”
Highlight: The South of Vietnam and those untouched islands – and of course the street food. Its colonial history is truly magnificent; the buildings that are left from back in the day are still intact and are definitely worth seeing.
Food: Sea food, for the win but my favourite would be the Mussels, Snails and the local dish Pho. You find Baguettes in every nook and corner but something you must have is the Saigon beer with some sea food and Pho – it is made of beef with noodles and soup. Once you’re done with that you must have the local Flan for dessert.
