On the occasion of World Dance Day, Shovana Narayan’s Asavari (Centre for Kathak) in collaboration with Sangeet Natak Akademi presents “Vividh Mat: Perceptions”, a Seminar cum Dance presentation 26th and 27th April, 2016. Also, the high powered panelists will share their perspective on the theme of the evening and will make it an enriching experience for the audience on both the days.
“Vividh-Mat” seeks to explore range of perceptions on two issues namely (i) “Dharma -Adharma” that seem to imply ethics which in itself is more concerned with the moral conduct necessary for the survival and maintenance of a social group or social order or the individual’s existence while (ii) “Can the Twain Meet”, inspired by Rudyard Kipling’s well-known ballad, seeks to open various vistas where differences and accidents of thoughts, philosophies and cultures may or may not become meaningless.
