Reportedly, Samantha has decided to retire from acting after having done her life’s most memorable performance in Jaanu. Samantha had liked Trisha’s performance better than that of Vijay Sethupathi in 96, and that’s the reason she opted to act for Trisha’s role in the Telugu remake.

Pointing out that an actress’s lifespan is always shorter than an actor’s in cinema, Samantha said that fans tend to forget the female stars after they have left the cinema.
