Recently appointed as Goodwill Ambassador for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), Salman Khan has sort of landed himself into a minor storm. He has criticized the media coverage that was given to him and cited that the same was not accorded to AR Rehman and Sachin Tendulkar, who were also appointed as ambassadors.
Salman’s appointment had sort of led to a round of questioning by several people who felt he wasn’t the right candidate for this prestigious role. Whether Salman’s outbursts is straight from his heart or a PR gimmick, only time can tell.
