The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts recently collaborated with the multi-Grammy Award-winner, renowned music composer and environmentalist, Ricky Kej for a 3-city musical tour. The brand recently hosted these immersive sensory musical concerts entitled ‘Rhythm of The Earth’. The first of the series was hosted at The Leela Palace Bengaluru earlier this year followed by The Leela Palace New Delhi and The Leela Palace Chennai this week. These concerts were a perfect showcase of collective dedication towards environmental consciousness and positive social impact.

As a brand committed towards promoting conscious luxury, The Leela has been on a journey to enhance its efforts towards sustainability dialing up on initiatives that will help achieve its goal of Net Zero. At the recently held concerts, The Leela announced the commissioning of ‘Aujasya by The Leela’ in-house water bottling plants at its hotels, replacing single-use plastic bottles.
Last month, the brand inaugurated new environment-friendly boats at The Leela Palace Udaipur perched on the banks of the lake Pichola. Equipped with the latest green technologies, the boats will help reduce the hotel’s ecological footprint. The Leela introduced Tishya by The Leela – its signature fragrance, with a range of bath amenities last year. These products are 100% vegan, paraben free, SLS free, made with natural floral extracts and comes in 100% recyclable packaging.
Speaking on the occasion, Anjali Mehra, Chief Brand Officer and Senior Vice President Marketing, The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts said “Sustainable luxury today is changing the paradigm as guests seek fulfilling experiences in harmony with nature and their sociocultural surroundings. We at The Leela are committed to providing these experiences and have in fact taken significant measures to reduce our carbon footprint, focus on holistic wellness of our guests and contribute towards community development through meaningful partnerships. Our #ThinkBigStartSmall campaign will highlight these initiatives and how each step that we are taking, no matter how small, is culminating in achieving a larger goal.” She further added, “Our collaboration with Ricky Kej is a testament to a shared passion and the brand’s commitment towards positive environmental impact. We are excited and feel privileged to be a part of the great work that Ricky is doing.”
A sensorial evocation, “The Rhythm of the Earth”, went beyond immersive visuals and scintillating music. To compliment the theme, the culinary teams at all three palaces presented a special zero food waste menu, showcasing the best of the brand’s signature wellness program, Aujasya by The Leela. Built around the 2R’s of Wellbeing – Restore (Food) and Renew (Mindfulness), Aujasya by The Leela allows guests to embrace a holistic wellness journey.
“I am excited to have partnered with The Leela for a 3-city tour of “Rhythm of the Earth”, said Ricky Kej. “For me, music is an effective tool to not just communicate a message, but also to ensure that it is relatable and retained. The idea is to create a deeper understanding for the world on conservation and sustainability through music and partnering with The Leela gave me a platform to further strengthen my outreach with a relevant audience who can be the catalysts of change. I am thrilled with the overwhelming response from the audience in all three cities.”
