The actor was favoured in both Malayalam and Tamil industries
Actor Unnikrishnan Namboothiri started his film career with Deshadanam in 1996 and was best known for his comedy roles and that of a loveable grandfather. His character in Kalyanaraman, Kaliyattom, Mayamohini and Pokkiri Raja were among some of the most noteworthy in Malayalam cinema. He had also done promising characters in Tamil films like Chandramukhi and Pammal K Sambandam. He died at the age of 98 at Payyanur, Kerala.
