Twelve celebrities, including actors Khushboo, Shruti Haasan, Ramya Krishnan, and Samantha Akkineni, Nadhiya, Lakshmi Manchu, Aishwarya Rajesh and dancers Shobhana and Priyadarshini Govind feature on a limited edition calendar themed on the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma, recreated and captured by photographer G Venket Ram.
The calendar, in celebration of a decade of empowering single women from under-served segments of society, is brought out by NAAM Charitable Trust, founded by actor and director Suhasini Maniratnam. The organization’s work covers aspects ranging from health to education to self-defense and beyond. The photographs have been carefully styled with attention to classical aesthetics, with each one replicating a particular portrait by Raja Ravi Varma.
