Congress President Rahul Gandhi said that he and his sister Priyanka have completely forgiven the killers of their father. Speaking at an interaction with IIM alumni in Singapore, when asked if he had forgiven his father’s killers, he said that he and his sister were very upset, hurt and angry for many years,but finally they have forgiven them.
He said that he had seen a lot of violence and had gone through a lot of pain,yet he and Priyanka found it difficult to hate people. He said that he knew that his grand mother and father were going to die as in politics, if a person stood up for something and messed with the wrong people, they would ultimately lose their life.
