Rahul Gandhi who is currently on the Bharat Jodo Yatra visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar and offered prayers. He arrived at the Amritsar airport yesterday afternoon after concluding the Haryana leg of the foot march.
Rahul sported an organ turban when he paid obeisance at the sanctum sanctorum of the Golden Temple. He posted pictures on Twitter where he is seen taking ”parshad” and listening to ”gurbani” during his visit.
Rahul was accompanied by Punjab Congress Chief Amarinder Singh and other party leaders. He will stay in Punjab for 8 days and will walk three hours each in the morning and evening and cover 25 kilometres each day.
The yatra which began in Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu on September 7, will conclude in Srinagar on January 30 with Rahul Gandhi hoisting the national flag in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
