Queen Elizabeth II had to miss Sunday’s Remembrance Service due to her sprained back.
The ceremony is to honour fallen troops and is said to be close to the Queen’s heart. It may be recalled that the Queen spent a night in hospital undergoing unspecified tests at the end of last month. She resumed light duties after that. She had to pull out from a UN climate change summit at Glasgow as she was advised to take rest. Prince Charles and his son Prince William attended the summit on her behalf.
The Queen is said to be very disappointed to have missed the Remembrance Service. Her son Prince Charles filled in for her and attended the same by laying a wreath on her behalf.
The Queen is reported to no longer ride horses even though it has been her passion to do so. However, it is stated that she will resume riding again after her period of rest.
