The wrestlers who have been protesting against the sexual harassment of women wrestlers, including a minor, have made demands for the arrest of Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan. They had a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday. However, they did not get the desired response from him.
The meeting was held in the residence of Amit Shah in Delhi late in the evening and went on till late night. As the wrestlers did not get the response that they expected, they will chalk out a strategy but will not back out.
The wrestlers went to Haridwar to immerse their medals in the Ganga, but they were stopped by the farmers’ leader Naresh Tikait. They have given an ultimatum to the government and have demanded the arrest of BJP MP Brij Bhushan before June 9.
Meanwhile two FIRs have been lodged against Brj Bhushan under the Pocso Act.
